Roland’s JWX-10 Milling Machine was designed from the ground up as a production jewelry wax model milling machine for the jewelry manufacturer or custom retailer. Create your detailed wax models in just a few hours.  Use the ring arbor to cut detailed designs 360 degrees around a ring. (See the photograph below.)  You may also use the upper work plate

or the Lower Work Plate , which is larger, to create your models

or small production pieces. 

The JWX-10 is compatible with all jewelry CAD/CAM applications including Gemvision Matrix, Artcam Jewelsmith, Type3 3Design, JewelCAD, JewelSpace, and Rhino Techgems. 

The JWX-10 is a compact, fully enclosed, 4-axis machine which includes a high speed 20,000 rpm variable speed spindle and specially designed holding fixtures for off-the-shelf ring and flat jewelry wax stock, resins, plastics, wood and prototyping boards. 

The JWX-10 includes Roland’s 3D Engrave, Virtual Modela and Modela Player software. Designed and manufactured in Roland’s internationally acclaimed ISO-9001 and 14001 certified “Digital Factory” where quality and reliability are assured. 

A complete system has everything needed to get started including, 4 axis CAM software, user manuals, tools, wax and comprehensive jewelry milling tutorials. 

Roland's Protowizard is an optional bundle for the JWX-10. Protowizard's Jewelry CAM software and fixture package makes it easy to cut complex, finely detailed designs quickly. It steps you through the model making process.  Import STL files from any Jewelry CAD software.

The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is using the Roland JWX-10 model maker to teach students the fundamentals of jewelry model making.  Students will use the JWX-10 to learn a variety of important CAD/CAM skills, including how to produce precise finished wax models for virtually all types of jewelry.
