The Roland MDX-40 is a high-speed, high-efficiency modeling machine with 3D Touch Probe Scanning as an option. It puts you in control with the power of milling right on your desktop.

The MDX-40 milling spindle unit is a full-featured CNC (computer numerical control) mill capable of cutting jeweler's wax, resins, chemical wood, acrylic, wood and light medals like brass and aluminum.

Roland’s Subtractive Rapid Prototyping mills your prototypes the same way you will machine your products. The MDX-40 will save you time and money by testing and modifying your virtual 3D designs.

Ideal for a variety of product design tasks, including reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, jewelry and model making, and small lot production. Just plug the MDX-40 in to your computer with a USB port. Follow the simple instructions and you can be milling in minutes.

 

 

The scanning attachment is identical to the Roland MDX-15/20 scanning attachment and is capable of scanning in the X, Y and Z axis. It does not support scanning with the rotary 4th axis.
